Waiwera Holiday Park

Me and my huband went there every second weekend when our 1st son was born we camped there when he was 6 weeks old and continued that tradition with our second son...We even got married on Waiwera beach.please keep it as a camping ground!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Used to go there to get out of Auckland on a quick drive rent a cabin for the weekend . The owner should sell the grounds as a camp ground . It was the best.

Stayed here for my daughters 13th birthday with 3 of her friends and some of our family. rented 3 chalets had a blast although the place could have done with some TLC but other than that was happy. Was gutted to go to Waiwera the other night and discover the place has closed down. I feel the buyer would be better off keeping it as a camp and maybe spend a little money and run it rather than try and sell it off in sections which is what he is trying to do.

OMG!! I just couldn`t believe that it had closed down....I went there more than ten years ago and I truly enjoyed it...definitely got what I paid for...really sad to see it closed during the festive season....please hurry and re-open sooonnnnn.......

I am Guttered to read that this place has closed down. To be honest I`m not surprised as it was quite run down but I still spent many summers there with my family. I loved the location, the people and the views were AWESOME... Loved waking up and opening the tent to see the ocean and sun... Awwww I wish it was being renovated and opened again but I read that there will be a restaurant built in its place. Stinkkkk.
