Sandspit Holiday Park

I`m very pleased to have found this awesome spot 3 years ago. This January will be our 3rd holiday in a waterfront cabin for myself and 9 year old son. This year to my sons delight we are extending our stay by 2 nights by bringing the tent and camping until our cabin becomes available. We have made wonderful lasting memories and had hours of fun and relaxation at Sandspit Holiday Park where my son has made many friends his own age. Children are safe to run a bit free and the water is also safe. An experience I can not give my son here in the restraints of Auckland. So looking forward to our stay this January.

Very unique holiday park. looks like they are always trying to improve this place with a new BBQ area, refurbishing their many cabins and apparently have a new toilet block in the pipeline. nice staff and owners, definitely recommend a visit.

Forget the preconceived idea that a camping ground or holiday park is full of beer drinking teens (it may be right at the Mount, but not here). This place is one of New Zealand`s best kept secrets. The tides are child-safe. The facilities are by far superior to any other park. Tho owners take the park seriously and will go out of their way to help (if you perceive professionalism as grumpyness - that`s your problem). This is a place that you`ll always look back with a great deal of nostalgia
o, I`m not related or have anything to do with the camp.......just a family that appreciate something unique and wonderfully enjoyable! We`ll be back at Christmas!

I visited Sandspit Holiday Park last month and wow what a lovely place. Neat pioneer village theme, lots of facilities and things for my kids and very friendly staff and owners. highly recomend

We have been going to Sandspit since my daughter was three and my son was eight. It is a place where I haven`t been able to let them roam off with their friends in ways that I would not want to in the city
all times I have felt that they were safe and watched out for by anyone around. It has given them experiences I could not at home (and given me breaks) Facilities are being constantly upgraded and activities within the camp over the New Year help all feel welcomed. Its a great place.
