Great Camping - Mark B Christchurch
1st Jan, 2012

I visited the camp over Christmas and new year and found Ross and Lynda great hosts. The camp was very well managed with our booked site ready when we arrived. This is a small camp with great facilities and location. As an extra Ross provided a drying room for our clothes after a rainy day and at no cost. Thanks Mark

Fantastic site and hosts - Jodian
5th Sep, 2011

We have been going to this camp for a few years now on and off. It is an amazingly safe family camping ground. Nice and close to the local tavern which has great food and beer. There is a festive atmosphere over Christmas and the comings and goings of the campers is always interesting. Ross and Lynda are the best hosts ever
ooking forward to going back.

DON`T GO THERE !! - Clément
13th Mar, 2011

The owners are just freaky crazy !!

They close doors at 10:00 PM sharp at night and there is nobody to let you in if you are locked outside for any reason
hey cut cold water while you are still under the shower without advising anyone so beware of getting burnt
nd if you are one minute late for the check-out at 10:00 AM sharp, they just kick you out of "THEIR PROPERTY", kick your camp-chairs, snatch your electricity wire out of your van violently!! We had never seen that in our live.

They just bring the image of New-Zealanders welcoming down
hey forgot tourism is far from the army that the crazy tenant may have left 100 years ago.

Still, the location is good but unless the Pancake rocks, there is not much to see in the city so don`t stop in this camp and find any other location that would appear much more friendly !!

Nice site, great location - Skry
25th Mar, 2008

This site was $28/night for two adults and a tent. It provided everything we needed regarding facilities, although I don`t recall seeing a TV room. There may be one, but we weren`t looking for it.
The location is stunning and not far from the Pancake Rocks. There`s also a small glow worm cave (you need a torch to get in, even during the day). It`s not huge though and there`s not a lot of glow worms, but you do pass it on the cliff-side of the road on the way to/from the Pancake Rocks.
I considered all the above to be a great bonus for site location. The staff live in a very small converted housing complex by the site. They weren`t in the office when we arrived but did arrive soon after us.
The site is also located right beside a pub, although not so close as to be auidable.
