Papa Aroha

Well our first night was wonderful. The facilities are excellent! These guys do an amazing job at keeping the camp looking spic and span.

However for every single day after the first day, for 11 nights in a row, we had to endure inconsiderate, self-centrerd, ill-mannered camping neighbours. The couldn`t-give-a-stuff parents didn`t care that their 10-odd unruly teenagers kept smacking balls ar our tent, our car and even us when we decided to have a bbq out the front of our tent. This happened every day, and most consistently every evening when we were winding down and wanting to relax. No consideration of other peoples property - that`s what you can expect from a few of the regulars who come here.

Why I am not going back to Papa Aroha is not because the rudeness of others, it is because we talked to Papa Aroha management about fixing this issue and we got no such help until the 9th night when they bothered to put a tarp wall up inbetween us. Which had to be taken down that same night due to bad weather. However the weather didn`t stop the discourteous neighbours from smacking their balls on our stuff.

We talked to management 3 times and the neighbours 4 times; for new customers I caution you about this place, if it comes down to Papa Aroha implementing any sort of authority to ensure the satisfaction of all customers, it will not happen if it disatisfies their "regulars" in any way!

Myself and my wife have been coming to Papa Aroha for the past 20 years and now with my family for the past 10 as well. Kids always have a blast in the ocean and on the rope swing across the esturay Fantastic facilities, cleanliness is 100%, Boating and fishing is fantastic the shop is unbelieveable, u want it? Peter and Anita have got it! hosts Peter, Anita and whole team are amazing always so friendly and helpful. Cant rate u guys enough! top marks. a
