The sleepy suburb of Richmond is located on State Highway 60 west of Nelson. With a pleasant range of shops and a small shopping centre, Richmond is a decent base for exploring both the city of Nelson and the many excellent wineries to the west. There are also a fair number of artists displaying their work in local studios. Most of the wineries can be found around Upper Moutere, but several are signposted from SH60.

Richmond Motel Top 10 Holiday Park is located handily next to the main road out of Nelson, and is a nice out-of-town alternative to Nelson City Holiday Park. With a few static caravans, a good range of motels, self catering units, basic cabins and powered sites, it's a pleasant site. A short walk brings you to the shops (including a small Pak'N'Save and nice sushi stall), via a pleasant looking church and playing fields.

The facilities onsite are top notch, with easily accessed toilets and excellent showers. The TV room is cosy and handy for the occasional rainy evening, and a choice of internet access is available including wireless and kiosks. The cabins are of a high quality and offer reasonable value for money, and the powered sites are level and surrounded by pleasant trees and shrubbery. There is a small play area and a cute heated pool.

Richmond Top 10 is a welcoming, easy to find site that would be a good base for exploring the area and is easy to recommend.
