Haruru Falls Resort

Dont know whats up with other reviews and why would someone right a review form 6 years ago so ignore that rubbish. Stayed there last week in a campervan and it was fantastic! Awesome location right on the water with great views to the falls. I will be back in the summer to try out the pool which looked inviting even in winter. Very friendly owner who was so helpful even lending me a kids movie for my daughter to watch. Being able to have pizza delivered to the campsite from a popular local restaurant was a nice bonus. The facilities which are a bit dated are about to be upgraded soon which will make this a 10/10. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone heading to Paihia

absolutely amazing, i love staying here with my young family in january yes at time the showers were cold but as was explained to us by the staff they only have tank water as many small towns do. Staff were extremely helpful because it is a family owned business and has had a rough few years with flooding would sincerely recommend this to everyone.

We just wanted tolet you know that we stayed in your resort in late March (Friday25th) when you were away for the weekend and the service provided by your staff was outstanding. There were very few in the resort that night and we were the only 2 in your restaurant but nothing was too hard for them to do for us. We enjoyed an excellent meal, lovely wine and this made our stay most enjoyable
I might add that it rained all day and night we were there and the falls just got bigger and bigger it was great
Thanks to all the staff on that night and the Chef we very much enjoyed the experience.

We stayed here for 2 weeks in 2005, it was disgustingly filthy and mis managed then, obvisouly nothing changed. We were thinking about going back this year (if there was new management) but obviously it`s still as revolting as it was back then. The only tick I give for this place is the new years security. Also the river is NOT usualbe for recreation, either in the water or on the water. BE WARNED Campers - dont go near the place.

Not sure about the other reviews but I would recommend this property any day, great service, large camp site with hotel rooms and motel rooms which after staying at many hotels through out NZ I would rate them 4 star, water safe to drink as they have thier own spring water.Very large pool, Giant Chess set was great to have a game.Great evening entertainment meeting locals in the restaurant bar made new friends to keep on contact with. Staff was very helpful booked all our tours and had us picked up from the resort so we did not have to drive into town. We felt safe at night as they have a security guard walking around checking on the property. Don`t alway beleive what you read, visit the resort and make your own judgement like I did.
