Trout fishing, bush walks, mountain biking on the worldclass Karapoti circuit, and golfing are all nearby. Visit the Efil Doog gardens or Staglands Wildlife Reserve. Happy Upper Hutt - Happy Camper

Just to clarify that this is in Upper Hutt and not Wellington as mentioned. It is a great place to stay with loads of friendly locals. The (inner) city although small is very nice and the surrounds of the camp site are something to behold on a greats summers day...Great place to stay before heading north to the Waiarapa...
