Geraldine has that country village atmosphere with magestic old forests and little art and craft corners, it's friendliness, tranquility and wealth of history makes it hard to resist. Geraldine is simply unique. Geraldine is situated 2 hours 136 km south of Christchurch on the inland scenic route 72 to Mount Cook and Queenstown. The town and its surrounding district has something for everyone. Attractions and activities include walks, garden visits, artists, craft people, white water rafting, golf, 4x4 tours, fishing, museum, scenic drives and movies at the historic cinema. The domain adjacent to the camp has a heated swimming pool, squash and tennis courts, bowling green, sports field, childrens playground and picnic areas. The Geraldine motor camp is a tranquil park set among huge specimen trees in the center of town, just a 200 m walk to the shops. A range of accommodation to suit any budget and camp facilities include communal showers shower, kitchen, TV room, laundry, childrens play ground, linen and BBQ hire available.

Disagree with David - R. Baker
22nd Jan, 2009

We have stayed in this motor camp on 2 occasions now and have always found the managers more than obliging. Cleanliness is 2nd to none. During the peak times Xmas/ New Year facilities are cleaned 3 times a day and always look pristine even with the large crowds using them.

WARNING do not stay here! - David McGregory
22nd Dec, 2008

Do not stay here! We got a powered site and the power did not work. Despite several requests no one sorted it out, the owners were in fact rather rude and defensive when i brought it up, not the kind of atmosphere you want on holiday. The toilets were unhygenic and quite frankly filthy!
